Barren Lands

VERSE ONE:

These barren lands, beneath my feet,
These weathered hands, that I beseech,
To carry on, to still be strong, to still be strong

VERSE TWO:

These weathered hills, I used to roam,
I built this house, I call my home,
With weathered hands, on barren lands,
on barren lands.

FIRST CHORUS:

For in my heart, that still beats strong,
I choose a life, where I belonged,
I searched the hills, these barren lands,
I built this life with weathered hands.

V
ERSE THREE:

These empty seas, these barren times,
That once were rich, now past their prime,
All hope is gone, to carry on, to carry on.

SECOND CHORUS:

These weathered hands, now made of clay,
That passing time has washed away,
They fought the wind, they fought the rain,
they fought the hunger and the pain.

VERSE FOUR:

These weathered hands, once made of stone,
They built a house, but not a home,
This barren earth, this barren land,
no longer touched by weathered hands.
