in search of eldorado

SPOKEN INTRO: (Leigh Dominy)

Gaily bedight,
A gallant knight,
In sunshine and in shadow,
Had journeyed long,
Singing a song,
In search of Eldorado.

SPOKEN BRIDGE:

Creí que ese amor vendría a mi,
si iba por el sendero del destino

VERSE ONE:

I have traveled in search of Eldorado,
Searching for my pot of gold,
Chased a dream, many wouldn’t follow,
And found true love, my Inca gold.

VERSE TWO:

I dreamt one night that I would find a treasure,
If I crossed a desert and an ancient sea,
Climbed a mountain, no man could measure.
Destiny would come to me.

SPOKEN BRIDGE:

Creí que ese amor vendría a mi,
si iba por el sendero del destino

VERSE THREE:

I’ve cleansed my soul in holy water,
From a Hindu river to an Inca sea,
Built my dreams out of bricks and mortar,
My Inca temple, my sanctuary.

SPOKEN BRIDGE: (Leigh Dominy)

Over the mountains of the Moon,
Down the Valley of the shadow,
Ride, boldly ride,
The shade replied,
If you seek for Eldorado

SPOKEN BRIDGE:

I believed that love would come to me,
If I walked the path of destiny,

Creí que ese amor vendría a mi,
si iba por el sendero del destino

VERSE FOUR:

I’ve traveled far in search of Eldorado,
Crossed the tropics to a distant land,
I walked a path, that few would have followed,

My Inca gold lies in my hands.

SONG REVIEW

Just by coincidence this afternoon I visited your website and listened to your latest song IN SEARCH OF ELDORADO - actually a second time a moment ago - and I must say I was deeply touched. This is why I am writing .... to let you know that I am impressed. For the short time you have been to Peru you could transform your feelings and experiences into a beautiful song.

I very much liked the idea of intertwining the Andean themes with the concept of the Bolero (let's go by Ravel's version because the Peruvians may object to the Spanish origin of the dance) interspersed with your mother's vocals. And the sounds and your voice projection demonstrate great musicianship. Congratulations!     W.K
