lost at sea

VERSE ONE:

If the streets seemed so familiar, then why did I get so lost,
I paid the price of living, but still paid a higher cost,
Afraid of my own shadow, but afraid to turn away.
For I was just an astronaut who simply lost his way.

But then you came into my life
and showed me how to leave the past behind me,
Touched my heart and touched my soul,
and filled a void that love had stolen from me.

 VERSE TWO:

I was just a sailing ship adrift out on the bay,
A traveler, a sailor who had simply lost his way,
Who found a desert island, amidst a raging sea.
Who found an Inca princess, who became my destiny.

INSTRUMENTAL BREAK

CHORUS:

But when you came into my life
and showed me how to leave the past behind me,
Touched my heart and cleansed my soul,
and filled a void that love had stolen from me.
